Welcome to My Chiropractor!  This blog is designed to provide information that will empower you and help change the way you think about Health.

I am Richard P. Stork D.C.  I own a practice called Fenton Family Chiropractic in Fenton, Michigan.  I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, in February 2007.

As a child, I had poor health.  I suffered from continuous sinus infections, headaches, frequent nose bleeds, and more bouts of tonsillitis than I care to remember.  Because I couldn’t stand being out in the heat and humidity, my memories of Michigan summers consist not of days spent playing outside but hours in the cool shelter of the basement.  These problems followed me into adulthood.

As a young adult, I  worked third shift for a local grocery store.  It was during this time that I develop excruciating pain in my right hip.  It would strike like lightning, cause my leg to buckle, and send me falling to the floor.  I developed a habit of standing with my weight shifted to my left.  I found myself walking from object to object as I crossed a room just so I would have something to catch myself with if the pain would happen to strike.  Only after countless suggestions from my brother did I seek chiropractic care.

I would love to tell you that the relief I experienced from chiropractic care was immediate, but it wasn’t.  It had taken years of neglect and abuse for my body to get into that condition.  Likewise, it took time for my body to heal. However, within 90 days the pain in my hip was 99.5% resolved and was recurrent only when I allowed myself to get extremely fatigued.  The real surprise was the relief I experienced with the problems I’d had since childhood.  Because of this, I soon decided to become a chiropractor myself.

I’ve meet numerous people with countless varieties of problems.  Many are discouraged in their quest to regain health.  While others may have told them to “live with it,” I’m here to say that there is hope.  So let’s explore what health really is and how you can take hold of it for yourself.
